Tucker
Retired Stud Dog
Whelped October 2017
Tucker is a Chocolate Male with a solid yet athletic build weighing in at 72lbs. He was bred for confirmation and represents the Labrador Breed well with his all-around build. He is a loving and loyal dog. With the family he loves to get close and is attentive.
He received his starter training at Dokken’s training program out of Northfield, MN. He can really work a scent in tight cover and could have had a second career in drug detective work. He has good marking skills and can consistently retrieve birds that have been winged. His forte is pheasants and loves to go to work in the field. He paces and carries himself well. When he flushes a bird it is more as a push. While not from pointing lab lines I’ve seen him lock up on a rabbit on full point. He is a strong swimmer and handles cold water well. From a sportsman’s perspective I call him my Remington 870 as he can handle most everything I throw at him. One positive trait is he is quiet in his Kennel and rarely barks.
Tucker had been our go to Stud Dog and has sired 4 liters to date. Because of our focus to Pointing Lab lines he would be for sale to the right home.
