As a life long enthusiast of dogs & outdoor companions we purchased a Black Lab in the mid 2000’s.  We named him Gunner.   He was the perfect mix of temperament and outdoor drive that I called him a Gentleman’s gun dog.  Inspired by this we named our Kennel after him – Gunner’s Point Labradors.  Relocating to NE Iowa in 2013 we discovered & fell in love with the Pointing Labrador. We strive first of all to create pup that is a good family dog.  Most of your time likely will be in a family setting at home and you’ll want a pet that is enjoyable to have around.  The Labrador has been ranked at the top of the charts for a long time from that aspect.  In addition, we strive to produce a pup that has inherent hunting instincts and prey drive.   An ideal Labrador is one that can work both the upland cover & water.  We breed for a natural point in our dogs.

Our small kennel is a hobby business with only 4/5 adult dogs at any one point in time. Currently, only one litter is planned per year.
