• Mollea

    Whelped April 2019

Mollea is a light yellow(cream) female coming from pointing lab lines. Trained at Dokken’s starter program she was top of her class. One of my Pheasant hunting buddy’s commented, “she has just got it”. Intense birdy & strong swimmer. She will point/pause on a rooster.  If the rooster moves she(unlike a pointer) will move with it and then flush.  Great at retrieving down birds in thick cover and she too has made numerous long retrieves on winged birds.  I once threw a dummy across a river in the spring up a steep bank.  The river was flowing pretty good.  She went across the river went up the bank retrieved the dummy.   Each time the river pushed her downstream.  She is my European over/under.  While not hunting she has an off switch & is very sweet.  Her mother instincts have been good.

Her pedigree includes her Dad and Granddad’s achieving the following:

4x Grandmaster Pointing Retriever & AKC Senior Hunter- Bear (Dad)

4x Grandmaster Pointing Retriever & AKC Senior Hunter – Griz (Granddad)

Grand Master Pointing Retriever & AKC Senior Hunter – Bo (Granddad)

  • Ginger

    Whelped January 2021

Ginger is a red fox female weighing in at 56lbs coming from pointing lab lines. Trained at Dokken’s starter program. She is a strong swimmer and took to the water instinctively. In the field she is close working and ranges from 10 to 20 yards which sets up well for closer shots. Occasionally, she will get out a little farther but never one to worry about ranging too far. Her marking and retrieves to hand make it a pleasure to hunt behind. She is a great complimentary dog when hunting with Tucker & Mollea. As she has developed her natural point has become more pronounced. This past spring in a walk behind our home she pointed and then flushed several woodcock. At home she is sweet and puts here nose in your hand to let you know she is there. A highlight for me was taking a limit of Iowa Roosters the last day of the season. In a span of a ½ hour she pointed/flushed 3 roosters and retrieved each to hand. It made for a proud dog owner moment and the 3 roosters are mounted as a memory afield!

Her pedigree includes her Dad and Mom achieving the following:

4x GrandMaster Pointing Retriever & AKC Senior Hunter - Capone (Dad)

Certified Pointing Retriever - Ruby (Mom)

  • Otis

    Whelped April 2023

We purchased Otis as pup from Cornstalker Pointing Labs. He is our future stud dog for the kennel. This was a Chaos x Dixie pairing. Chaos is a well known grand master pointing lab and has a star studded pedigree. His background combines field trial, pointing lab, and excellent water & marking abilities. Not to be outdone on his mother’s side – Dixie also has champion bloodlines on her side. Otis showed point right away and at his young age has been demonstrating the best retrieving ability of any in our kennel to date. He has a lot of upside potential to be something great. Both parents have the offswitch where they can turn it off when coming inside the house.

  • Tucker

    Whelped October 2017

Tucker is a Chocolate Male with a solid yet athletic build weighing in at 72lbs. He was bred for confirmation and represents the Labrador Breed well with his all-around build. He is a loving and loyal dog. With the family he loves to get close and is attentive.

He received his starter training at Dokken’s training program out of Northfield, MN. He can really work a scent in tight cover and could have had a second career in drug detective work. He has good marking skills and can consistently retrieve birds that have been winged. His forte is pheasants and loves to go to work in the field. He paces and carries himself well. When he flushes a bird it is more as a push. While not from pointing lab lines I’ve seen him lock up on a rabbit on full point. He is a strong swimmer and handles cold water well. From a sportsman’s perspective I call him my Remington 870 as he can handle most everything I throw at him. One positive trait is he is quiet in his Kennel and rarely barks.

Tucker has been our go to Stud Dog and has sired 4 liters to date. Because of our focus to Pointing Lab lines he would be for sale to the right home.
